Searching for the
1941 Lincoln Continental Coupe
Vin Number H109835
once owned by Al Reiter

Page last updated 12.24.23

My name is Ed Reiter. I am Al Reiter's son. My dad (aka: Carl Allen or C.A. Reiter) passed away late 2016 in Auburn WA.
Soon after my step mother, Dena Reiter sold the car to "someone in Oregon".
The reason for this web page is to discover who owns the car now and where it is.

I have photos, memories and thoughts I would like to share.
My dad would appreciate me following it's progress.

To that end please check this page out and pass it along. With enough "buzz" I am sure we can discover this car's whereabouts.

Thank you,
Ed

Many people consider this model to be the most beautiful automobile ever built.
Some famous owners of '41 Lincolns:
Rita Hayworth, Jackie Cooper, Mickey Rooney, John Wayne, Clark Gable, John Wayne, Frank Lloyd Wright, Edsel Ford (biased) Sonny Corleone (Godfather)

Some pics of Rita Hayworth's:

Now for my story:

In 1971 when I was 11, I remember a flatbed truck showing up on the road in front of our house in Burien with the biggest car I have ever seen on the back. It took quite a bit of coaxing to get it to come off the flatbed, it was so long it high centered and they had to really work at it . Finally it came off and they used a cable to lower it down out steep driveway where it landed under the deck. There,in any weather my dad worked on it as his main hobby. During the time the car was in Burien, Al's love of old Fords caused him to buy a 39 Zephyr for parts, and a 46 Ford Coupe.
I do not know if the Lincoln had any part in my parents divorce in 1973, but dad took care of my brother and I after mom moved out. Al met Dena, also recently divorced who lived nearby in her house. Dena and Al got married and moved with the car to a garage in their first house in Auburn around 1981. In Auburn, Dad bought and sold a 73 Lincoln and a 29 Model A.
One of Dena's sons painted the Lincoln its current color, a gloss Gray. Dad had the intreior done. I helped him get the motor running many years ago, but the V-12 was not running as of the last time we worked on it.

Dad was active in the Lincoln Continental Owners Club in the mid to late 70's. After Al passed, Dena sold the '41 Lincoln Continental to "someone in Oregon".

I want to locate Vin Number H109835, one of 850 1941 Coupes.
Here are some pics of the car:

If anyone knows WHO and WHERE it is, please help me communicate that person.

UPDATE: a couple weeks ago a gentleman from the aaca forum found this link:

BUT this listing does not seem to be active and no one has responded to let me know any more.

Thank you,
Ed
