GAME 6, last game of the season
Meeker kicks off, an onside attempt that goes to Sequoia. Their offense starts with some runs and they try quick swing out passes too. Meeker defense stops them and ball goes to the offense.
Meeker is able to run inside and sweep out, and narrowly misses on a long pass or two. Somewhere along the way they complete a long pass to the Sequioa 10 and run the ball in from there for the first TD of the game. Extra point kick is good, score = 6-0.
Meeker defense shoves them back to their own 1 foot line and almost gets a safety. They punt.
Sequioa can't score, even though they complete several passes.
Score is unchanged at halftime.
Sequoia kicks off, Meeker runs it up the field for good starting position. A 15 yard pass to the end results in a long TD run. Extra point kick is missed. Score = 14-0
I can't remember the details, but Sequoia throws lots of passes and Meeker does the same. There are a couple interceptions. Next thing I know, #55 on Meeker defense picks up a Sequoia fumble on the Meeker 40 and he runs the thing up the middle and with a couple nice moves moves the ball to the Sequoia 10.
No more scoring but by the middle of the third quarter Meeker had control of the game.
Strengths: The usual hard hitting defense. Good blocking and running. Good punting. No penalties that hurt, no fumbles. A great way to end an exciting season!
